Hierchy of Stupidity

It seems the higher up the ladder
The stupider some people get
With just the right amount
Their futures seem set

Skill doesn't always matter
The dum can have success
They get pushed up even higher
Regardless of their mess

When they can't be fired
Promotion is the answer
Move them up the chain
Give others the cancer

Sometimes in the end
They'll run the whole place
On the very top floor
Setting corporate pace

They say the union Rules
Maybe stupidity's supream
It's hard to make it stop
Once it picks up steam

While perusing your very well written piece on the way business works, I realize how fortunate I am that the back stabbing and nastiness is all behind me! Cheers, Jake

You are a funny guy, if it was ahead of you it wouldn't be backstabbing. My laugh for the day. Thanks Jack.

WHoa Richard! You're on the roll. And what's brought on this angst? I like the line 'the dum can have success', it goes to show how rotten the system is. And the thought of promoting incompetents to avoid bureaucracy is oh so true. Very well written!

We had a friend over for dinner and were talking about corruption in gov't. I said it sounded like a hierchy of stupidity and somehow those two words stuck in my brain.

Thanks Mandy, I am fortunate to work for a non unionized company that works on merit, unlike union or govt positions.
