Hiding

Hiding under the bed
Hiding hiding hiding
I wait for even breaths
If they're not sleeping,
How can I get them?
I crawl out from underneath
It's dark, perfect
Even breaths, even steps
I reach out, too quickly
They wake up
I am gone and pulled under the bed,
Hiding
Waiting
Hiding

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Your poetry is so appreciated as I remember sleepless nights as a child similar to this. Tell me more. What was the? Was it imagination or truly something feared? You have me wondering
