Hide and Seek
see how bored we are;
we enter trance, to pass time,
conjuring ego.
ego leads us to
a dance of fear and desire,
we feel as real.
somewhere in the mists,
we recall our origin,
as glimmers of light.
finally we tire
and choose to enter silence,
to know truth of Self.
as thought forms recede,
the bubble of ego bursts
and it disappears.
all that that then is,
is our luminosity,
leaving us awestruck.
back again to life,
we doublethink our beliefs,
now knowing the truth.
from a pulse single,
to turbid earth life dual,
is but hide and seek.
all this would be fun
if we choose not to suffer
upon planet earth.
debts of love we owe,
compels us to take rebirth
again and again.
love’s the binding force,
that dissolves all opposites,
setting our soul free.
we’ve drifted afar
and now it’s time to head home,
reclaiming our light.
Wake up from stupor, hermit!
