Hide

hide
it's why I sit in the back
and in a corner
it's why I have long hair
it's why I never really talked
why do I hide?
to hide from pain
and misery
but they still find their way to me
why di I hide?
to save myself
from embarrassment
from heart break
and from myself.
why do I hide?
I want to disappear
I want to fade into the background
as though I had never existed
I hide
because of "him"
because of me;
of us both
because of
"The Monster"

Your hidden light needs to shine, let it shine! Like here in this poem, no darkness is black enough to hold in the tiniest speck of light.
