Hidden Places

Hidden places hold the truth
To what we feel inside
Hidden thoughts go unseen
From the pain we're trying to hide

Hidden places hold the lies
From promises long since broken
Hidden chambers in our hearts
Hold every word that's spoken

Hidden places hide our dreams
Each time we close our eyes
Hidden hope falls to pieces
As it crumbles, then it dies

Hidden places hide our smiles
That we've forgotten how to use
Hidden trust becomes betrayal
For someone to abuse

When hidden places overflow
It tears our world apart
Hidden places now revealed
It shows a broken heart
