Hidden In Bed

This morning I woke in a sullen stupor
This morning I woke with a dizzy head
This morning I woke to a rasp of snoring
Of the person sharing my bed

This morning I woke angry and cold
This morning I woke with a feeling of dread
This morning I woke with a bitter after taste
Of thoughts that have worn me thin

This morning I woke to sunshine
This morning the sun kissed my skin
This morning I woke up restless
Restless with excessive disappointment

This morning I woke up so tired
This morning I woke to words not yet said
This morning was not as expected
Tomorrow, I will stay hidden in bed
