Hidden Glances

Nervous Sparks:

I feel my palms sweat,
Eyes darting, heart skipping,
A quiet hope lingers,
Moments caught in small smiles.

Curiosity:

Listening to every word,
Wondering what they mean,
Admiring the little things,
The way they laugh, the way they care.

Affection:

Wishing I could reach closer,
Feeling warmth in their presence,
Treasuring the way they shine,
Even from afar, silently.

Longing:

Hoping they notice me,
Wishing they understand my heart,
Catching fleeting glances,
Holding them like treasure.

Heartache:

Seeing them with another,
A quiet pang,
Smiling through the sting,
A whisper of unspoken feelings.

Quiet Desperation:

Night comes, thoughts spinning,
Hoping for even a sign,
A touch, a glance, a word,
Anything to know I matter.

Dreaming:

Even if unseen,
I keep these feelings alive,
A gentle flame in my chest,
Waiting, hoping, quietly burning.

Message to Readers
This is my first time writing a piece like this, so please don’t judge! I tried to capture the feelings of nervousness, admiration, and quiet longing, and I hope it comes across. If there’s anything I could improve whether it’s the wording, flow, or imagery I’d really appreciate your feedback. Thank you so much for reading!
