Hidden Depths

Silvery words on paper,
 My ordinary magic,
That heals all wounds and hurts,
That lifts my soul,
And brings hope to my heart,
It calms my mind,
These words that I put on paper,
Some of which are probably best left unsaid,
These words that expose my heart and soul,
Putting them where all can see,
Giving everyone a ticket into my heart,
A ticket that allows them to see what I never show,
My words give them an understanding of me,
That they could never even hope to achieve just by talking to me,
My magic words creating worlds in which anything can be,
And revealing hidden depths within me,
That only those I chose will ever see.
