Double Dactyl
Light verse created by John Hollander and Antony Hecht. Two quatrains, with three dactyl lines followed by one dactyl line with a single accent. The first line-a phrase with no meaning, The second line is the subject of the poem, (usually someone's name), must be double-dactylic. One line of the second stanza must also be entirely one double dactyl word, example "va-le-dic-tor-i-an".
