Hi, It's Me

For the story I would ruin it— just to write it. I'd be ruthless, less private, shape up my front porch, sharpen these claws on concrete images— metaphorically speaking imagine how to re-frame bad guys, wrench in a plot twist, unmask villains' masquerading makeup— maybe even find myself.

Dear Jaymee, this is a clever reveal.. “how to re-frame the bad guys” - so true! I adore the rapier imagery and the impactful last line. Your first three lines sets up a compact package of expansive poetry perfectly. Congratulations for your success in Suzette’s contest. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

I adore your awesome response to my comments. I feel the same way about how you get my poetry too.. the elation is wonderful. You made me laugh with "I feel a kindred spirit and I don't hate it." Kindred spirits we are and we like it.. I think... :)! Have a happy 4th, my wonderful poet friend..

I should say I'm also taken by you picking up all of my metaphors and easter eggs--it's honestly so thrilling when someone gets it. I am being entirely serious. It makes my whole day.

Oh, Susan, if I could rewrite/reframe all the bad guys...what a world lol. I'm so taken by your use of metaphor and language, even in your comments (swoon). I feel a kindred spirit and I don't hate it. I hope you are well :)
