Hey, You Don'T Even Know Me

I'd like to say hi,
but I wouldn't be heard over the din of others
You always seem to know what to say and when,
I wish I had that skill,
a simple one it may seem,
but one I wish you could teach me
I could teach you in return,
how to cheer up someone depressed,
how to find your way out of the dark,
lots of things you don't know,
just give me a chance.
