Hey You It's Me

"Hey you - It's me"

Thats what I hear when I pick up the phone
I giggle and smile
His voice very sexy
He has a comforting tone.

He asks me how my day was
He tells me about his
And all the while
I giggle.

I simply giggle.

He is strong, yet sweet
but, ssh, don't tell
as I have solemly
promised never to repeat.

He travels a lot by car and by plane
So his itinerary is top topic
Although it drives him insane.

He likes my voice and to hear me laugh
I like the fact, that he too, loves baths.
He is unable to leave a glass in the sink
I too am, a self proclaimed neat freak.

One night on the phone
late in the evening
my combacks began
to not flow that easy.

He said with a laugh
its okay you win
because that way too,
we both win in the end.

With your smile and laughter
and happiness abound
its our victory together
we will celebrate what we've found.

This sounds very much like love which always manages to stay young and fresh. There was a time when a fixed line phone was all we had to communicate, and even so, those calls were often kept short because of soaring bills! Those phone calls were something to look forward to:) Regards // paul

I like the premise of your write here Lynn, a wonderful phone call. You have a light airiness when you write. I can feel you smiling.
