Hey That's My Balloon

I'm making an observation Bout the state of the world today This is what I've come up with In my own inimitable way Maybe it's cuz I'm an old guy It seems there's much more strife There doesn't seem, like years ago As much laughter in everyone's life I know there'll always be conflict Somewhere around the world This nation or that one gets aggressive Controversy begins to swirl Then one country threatens the other Military action follows soon We're like a bunch of nasty children Yelling, “Hey that's my balloon!” Seems like there isn't a cure for this But there's always hope I guess That mankind will see the utter futility And realize it doesn't make any sense!

Hello Jack, I am back. I had my surgery. tomorrow I go to the doctor to check my toe. I walk with a cane to get around. I have a special wide sandal I wear. You are right this world does not make sense. Have a nice evening my friend. xxxxx-oooo

Maybe it's the constant mind-numbing reporting of negative events! I suppose that's what the word "news" means... if it was "everyone got along well today"... it certainly wouldn't be news!!! BTW, because of health issues, unfortunately, I will no longer be active on the site. I joined in 2012 and THOROUGHLY I enjoyed my time here! May I add, you, in particular, have impressed me with your talents and the way you always present yourself in such a caring and gentle matter! I will miss you and the many others of my very good friends! Cheers, Jack!!!
