Hey, Love, Come Find Me

Love, oh love
we hear it all the time
what is it with this bitty word
that makes us want to rhyme

it makes you light
it makes you frothy
it makes your eyes gleam bright
it wisks us away
up off our feet
when we find such delight

but how i say
can it be obtained
must we look and seek
it could be there
in just a stare
why don't you take a peek
do sparks fly
will it make you high
this question i need answered

 is it blind?
really blind?

as if a word could see

for the wives tales answer
quick and true
love is on the rise
but only if your patient
"DO NOT look and you will find?"

don't look, dont look
thats what you say to me
yep correct
hey thats right
hey love, you come find me

and there he came
charmed my world
and since no days apart
one summer night
and the winds were right
he put blinders on my heart

my, the years do flee
it started in highschool
and still carries on
a sweetheart legacy

trust me here
you'll get your turn
i tell you its prancing in
your heart will churn
a dream come true
and still you wonder when

Unlock your chains
sit back and wait
like butter time will melt
What your heart yearns
will bring years to pass
once you feel what i've felt
