Hey Lady
I was walking in my fabulous shoes when a car slowed down
Some men whistled at me. I threw them a jaunty wave.
Another car slowed down next to me. It was a pretty day.
Women were laughing. I stopped and smiled at them.
Additional laughter. One took a photo of my shoe.
I felt kick-ass pretty now, listening to the clip clop of my heels.
I was taller today, and I felt happy.
Spring always does this to me.
Hey! Lady! I turned to see a little boy of about eight.
“Hello!” I said, with my wide-eyed, beauty smile.
“You have a piece of toilet paper on your shoe.”
This changed everything in an instant.
