Hey Annie

Hey Annie
Its been five months scince i've seen you
people ask questions, i answer only if they knew
Hey Annie
I've witnessed your love. your hate
I've seen your hope, your fate
Hey Annie
I ask many times for you to come back
but all i am left with is your memory, ready to crack
Hey Annie
I've forgiven you for the mistake you made
I know until the last second you were just ready to fade
Hey Annie
I'll always remember standing with you on a mountain
I'll always remember when they let you drink from the fountain
Hey Annie
Well there is nothing else to do
except say hey to you
Hey annie
But after the days and the reasons i ask why
i eventually have to say goodbye
Bye Annie

Poignant poem! Is it about a friend or sister? Yes, people slip in and out of our lives. That is the way of the world. Thanks for your comments! Yours Matthew Anish
