He's Looking For You
HE’S LOOKING FOR YOU
By Roy Merritt
The monster goes to the road each day
Ah hopin’ to hitch a ride
He’s puts a grin on his pretty face
A toothy one and wide
Well he sticks out his thumb then
As he slowly walks along
Sometimes he’s whistlin’ a tune
sometimes he sings a song
He’s lookin’ for you, been lookin’ for you
He’s lookin’ for you, been lookin’ for you
Most days it comes a sorry nuthin’
Most times I’m glad to say
But should someone pick him up
It surely makes his day
He’ll sure be glad for the company
Be whispering in your ear
Givin’ you some ideas
You been ponderin’ on for years
He’s lookin’ for you, been lookin’ for you
He’s lookin’ for you, been lookin’ for you
Now you might like havin’ him there
Might welcome his advice
Might take it for the gospel truth
Never dare think twice
He’s the serpent in the garden of Eden
Temptation is his game
Aiming for your total destruction
Or fillin' you with shame
He’s lookin’ for you, been lookin’ for you
He’s lookin’ for you, been lookin’ for you
So if you see him on the side of the road
Just keep on going by
Push down hard on that pedal
Let that motor fly
Put that machine in the wind
Leave that sucker cold
For if you pick him up
You just might lose your soul
He’s lookin’ for you, been lookin’ for you
He’s lookin’ for you, been lookin’ for you
He’s lookin’ for you, been lookin’ for you
He’s lookin’ for you, been lookin’ for you
