He's a Soul Man

< I'm through being thoughtful but glad being thankful
Enough is enough so I'm grabbing horns on the bull
Thank you for opening eyes to life's hidas tolls
Thank you for letting me watch my little girl grow
Thank you for many illuminated winters snow
Thank you for giving me rivers that flow
Thank you for my flourished garden to hoe
Thank you for taking this ride nice and slow
Thank you for my heavenly kingdom to go
Thank you for even my uncle named Joe
Thank you for letting me meet others I don't know
Thank you for letting me be a part of this show
With these tools given to me I tend to be thankful
For life can be sometimes cruel too and that's no bull

~ Thank you dear Lord for being my soul's driver ~

Another day of reading the many diverse poems here at the Soup. I enjoyed reading yours today Katherine and the best to you in the contest. Have a wonderful weekend. I need to see if I can find some inspiration this weekend. Love, Carol
