Heroes

Heroes

If I could stop time I would do
it
Whenever, anywhere, with
whom
I would circle the point of
contact
See it from all the different
faces
For then I would know the
truth, just me
Wouldn't that be good enough?

If I could move super-quick I
would do it
I would gather bricks, load up
mortar
Build a cabin in the middle of
the woods
And I'd store cans of food and a
week's water supply
I hope it would be good enough

If I could mould a future I
would do it
I would invest my years of ease
Take all the trust in my
account, and throw it out
Wear the Rock beneath my feet
to rubble
Divert the Wind beneath my
Wings to another's
If I could pave a path of life
That would be good enough
