HERE'S TO YOU, PUMPKIN PIE

HERE’S TO YOU, PUMPKIN PIE! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
the morning sun rises high and bright pumpkin pie for breakfast—oh, what a delight! the crust is flaky, the filling so sweet, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger—what a treat!. I take a bite, and oh, such heavenly bliss, the flavors meld, a culinary kiss. the pumpkin puree, its spices swirl flow with whipped cream, a dream for this ol’ girl. so let the critics say, "Pie for breakfast? No way!" I'll take a slice, come what may. so here's to you, dear pumpkin pie. I don’t care if you go straight to my thighs.

LOL ~ I cook pumpkin pie filling as a pudding so I eat my pumpkin pie without the crust ~ love it.

thanks for your shared enthusiasm for all things pumpkin spice. I've already stocked up on pumpkin spice goodies. By Thanksgiving, I probably won't pumpkin :-)

Well, pumpkin pie has eggs in it and healthy fiber so there is good nutrition there despite it is called pie. I know how it feels to say to go away guilt about eating what we should not because we might gain a pound. Just don't worry about it. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Sara K

thanks for your kind words about eating pumpkin pie, Sara K. When I do indulge, I don't embrace guilt...otherwise the experience is lost. Appreciate your visit today, hugs, Sara B
