Here's To You
I wish to thank you for the
"Spell checks" you do
It's so very nice of you...
You do it without complaint,
I am sure you must use constraint,
to not yell and scream...I do
appreciate you think my writing is keen.
I wish not to use an excuse
Yes, I know there is a "spell Check box
for everyone's use.
I tried it a time or two
and it didn't work out
copy and paste being oh so new.
My brain, fingers and words
have a disconnect, so strange
spelled words are what you get...
and writing for me continues to be fun.
I write a poem or two or three a day
brain's over worked I'm told so what
can I say... but I'll slow down my pace; not
put such a burden on you... to check
my spelling as you read...not a nice
thing to do, I concede.
Just thought I should tell you its not
because I don't care...seems I'm losing
flecks of brain, along with my hair.
