Here's a Hug

Don’t be sad there, please just smile
With everything that you do
Always remember this, my darling
My arms were meant for you

When you are cold, without a blanket
And your skin is turning blue
Always remember this, my darling

When you’re confused, mind in a haze
As if you’re without a clue
Always remember this, my darling
My arms were meant for you

When tears are falling, skin so wet
Like grass with morning dew
Always remember this, my darling
My arms were meant for you

So, know this now, I am here always
That is forever true…and
Always remember this, my darling
My arms were meant for you
