Hereby Let Go

I stand alone
Amidst a glow you may know
My heart beating
Soul soft
As if a flake of snow
Having released weight of pain
Thats taken its toll
I feel light in body and mind
I continue to grow

Memories overcome me
Making known feelings flow
Yet held back
As if confronted
By the best scarecrow
I've climbed lifes mountains
Yet still
My heart beats slow
Calm yet radiant
Gazing upon valleys of hope below

Standing proud
High
As if on a perfect merlot
Intoxicated by hope
Seeking refuge in future
I shall not forgo
Inhaling new life
Releasing this feather
Representing a lifetime of pain
I hereby let go
