Here With Me

I never said I was perfect
And I never claimed to be
But I felt so close
When you were here with me
Everything felt great
Everything was just divine
But if I only knew then
That I was running out of time
I never got the chance to tell how much I cared
And how I thanked God everyday for the love that we shared
All I have are the times that I spent with you
And the love that we had somehow gets me through
I know you're in a better place somewhere that I'll one day be
But every now and then I wish you were still here with me

This is for anyone that has ever loved someone. Cherish all the time you have with
that person. You never know when it might be your last. Robert Matthew Hunt

Have you contacted the Hallmark Co. yet? This should go on a Valentine's card. Gwendolen

very touching, heart warming, tender just a beautiful piece of poetry. You are right we need to tell our family that we love them, because some day they will be gone, and the older you get, the closer that time comes to past. thank you for commenting on Weeping Willow Tree.
