Here We Are

And everything is not anymore the same .. We offered them our trust; They brandished their deception. We helped them; They let us down. We built ships to them .. In them they napped And further sneered at .. They burned them afterward. And the promises; The good promises, That we kept nurturing .. They caused to wither And fade out .. Here we are!
