Here In My Heart

Here in my heart the hatred gets hellish
Just like a warlord, sweet revenge is what I relish
Vomiting my vengeance while darkly I'm disguised
Poisoning the waters and polluting the skies

Here in my heart life's getting harder than a stone
Like bullets break bones and hurricanes hit homes
Scattered and severed like a million missing pieces in a paranoid puzzle
Just like a mad dog chewing through a torn and tangled muzzle

Here in my heart I'm all alone out on the road
I don't believe what strangers try to sell me as their lies of life get told

Here in my heart I see Hell on the horizon
I start praying for my soul
I cry to God while compromising

Here in my heart I'm resurrected and I'm risen
The casket opens wide...I fly away from this cold prison

Here in my heart I stay brave and I stay bold
Because there's nothing I should fear
Nothing new and nothing old
