Here Comes Spring, At Last

mother Earth 
     tucks both arms into
          her long sleeves,
          f  i  n a l  l  y.
      each frozen by winter snow.
ah, what a relief!

spring is here;
     at long last, it's here!
        evergreen
        she'll soon be
     april will bring lots of rain 
and flowers will bloom 

a   t   t   r   a    c    t   i   n   g
     wealth of  butterflies 
           all birds will 
            tweet their joy
     from one meadow to the next 
trees get back their leaves
