Her Words

her words
once with love
remembered
with loneliness
same perfume

Thank You, Harry. Love is like that, fast hitting the first time and straight to the heart. It it often downhill from that first strike. After years widower, a new love wearing the same perfume, or any perfume brings back the feminine memory of the loved loss. Different woman, yet any perfume would make the memory return. Love is all olfactory sense of smell. They say we fall in love because of smell. Does the perfume hide the natural scent? I love poetry because we all see different things from that which the poet pulls out of mind, we are all different growing in other environments that make us who we are. Robert Henry Poulin. My first book is soon to hit the bookshelfs: THE LAST LEAF DECIDES. Published by Colt Press.
