Her Spectrum of Light
Her Spectrum of Light
She travels across the time zones and leaves her colors trailing in the sky,
Her prismatic spectrum tears through the ethereal air like a knife of mystery high,
Rainbow spears arc and shatter in the blinding and cold and brilliant light,
And in my dreams beneath amber skies... she passes through the night.
Angelic and incandescent she paints the sweetest forms I have ever seen,
Drifting on the desert winds like a prismatic ghost of what has never been,
Dripping ruined beauty from pillar to pillar of mystic and living light,
She is the telepathic temptress breathing winter sleep and summer sighs of night.
Emerald light refracts in her eyes like cracked and shining ice so bright,
And I watch her from my amber dream... without strength... without the right,
She walks upon the dunes of my memory with bare feet in the morning gold,
Combing through the golden beaches of the past... with her fingers... and her stories told.
The morning sun kisses the glacial seas of pale and gentle blue,
And she emerges from that light like a form that is born out of the blue,
Her spectrographic colors launch arcs of light through the ethereal air and stream,
And I melt inside her prismatic dream... fulfilled... and lost in a chimeric gleam.
On the desert winds she flickers like a ghost of colors and of magic rare,
A temptress breathing winter and summer in the same nostalgic breath of air,
Her jets of light interweave with the blazing and blinding solar flares,
And her ruined beauty falls from pillar to pillar... luminous... and nobody cares.
I follow her across the time zones with my eyes of longing and of dream,
Her rainbow of spears tears through me sweetly and leaves me without a gleam,
She paints the sweetest forms across my amber skies with her light and art,
And she disappears... spectral... prismatic... incandescent... and divine... and apart.
