Her Smile - Spenserian Sonnet

Her smile is like a wondrous day in May
when morning's glow gilds sky with golden light.
And happy singing robins lead the way
for taking care of burdens never slight.
Her smile gives me a frame of mind that's right,
there's sudden warmth of plesure deep within.
This treasure placed and buried free from sight,
heart taking note of prize without chagrin.
Her smile is like a bright new tune akin
to Sousa's martial strains for marching pace.
Then high in spirit say, let day begin
for I can brace dawn rays with happy face.
Her smile uplifts this sagging soul of mine.
Her smile doth make the living most devine.
