Her Smile Brings Me Joy

When I first spoke to you, you were quiet and answered first with a smile that was calm.
How come beauty comes in a simple act of random kindness?
It felt like my lips were being kissed by nature’s balm.
Is this the ARK mentioned in responses to life’s rudeness?

I saw that you were similar to me when it came to sight and dedication.
Your strength was welcoming even to your small frame.
You were one of the first women I saw who did not need medication.
A strength that made me realize you could have to a man the ultimate fame.

With each word I spoke you smiled, and it shined upon my heart.
Your smile shined upon my mind.
Who knew that we would find each other at a Mart.
You are the ultimate treasure that I needed to find.

As I see you when I am not there my heart beats!
When I see you as I am there my heart tweets!
