Her Smile

Whenever I see her smile,
See therein rainbow’s profile,
I too see her red-hot guile.

But then, nature also smiles
With its range of wicked wiles,
Each bewitches and beguiles.

We live in a world of isles,
Each with lures kept in safe piles
Which, we call our distinct styles.

Not just for her unique smile,
But also unarming guile,
My heart loves her, let mind rile.

Poet’s note: Her smile had an unfathomable depth that contained a vast gamut of emotions, some contradictory in nature and still had a consistent quality as indicated by one rhyme running through the whole poem.
