Russell Sivey Poet Quatrain

Her Shallow Loss

A turmoil within the heart so fine
Shows a light not like any before
Tenderness unknown as besought 
A life so free she forgot the score

Inside her eyes, a wild girl exists
She’s a woman of awesome insight
Nothing brings this piece forward
Completely shadowed within the light

She lives in mild pain, it’s always there
Shallow wants eclipse compliance
Period of nothing is brought forth
There’s no life other than defiance

Now a tug of war is within her
Playing her soul as a puppet
Pain shoots through her lonely heart
Whatever is true she won’t forget

Potentially the world lead her down
The whole place sends chills through her
No words can place it perfectly here
The life she leads is just a blur
