Her Mother's Daughter Above All

The suffering etched
Upon her stoic though visibly stricken face
broke my heart, and then broke it anew
till I had to look away, the load too great to help her carry
Though she never knew I tried
Best left to the hands of God

I agree Jeff. The inspiration was the grief on Princess Anns face as she followed her mother's coffin for six hours. In the face of that matronly woman barely concealed was the spirit of a little girl Sorely grieving the loss of her mother. It truly was too painful to look upon. When we lose the second parent we are as orphans in this world. Thanks for reading and your comment.I agree about prayer as well, our greatest overlooked resource kindly offered at no cost.I also believe she was above all her mother's daughter as she embraced the role she was assigned in life to the full.Perhaps more so than those who would wield the full aspect of royalty

one of the greatest griefs is for a parent to watch a child going through hell and feeling helpless. prayer is not helplessness
