Her Last Breaths

Asphyxiating one breath at a time
Oxygen levels not worth a dime
Gasping for breath
A step closer to death
We will soon hear her funeral bells chime

I have no idea what to say about this one! Normally, your writing unleashes the cathartic in me, but this one just makes me shake my head.

This is in honor of my aunt who is 94 and having a real experience trying to pass through the veil.
