Her Lamentations

She dwells in a cavern,
a caliginous cavern built for her;
She knows no day~
ever since she dwelt there in.

Never known anyone
except for the sullen silhouette
that frequently visits her;
Never known any sound
except for the echoing dirge
that blends with her lamentations.

Her screams become sullen
for no one hears her
except the dismal ebony walls
that surround her~
Her voice keeps echoing...
and echoing and echoing
of her laborious  litany.

The power of sadness oozes out of every corner of this poem "Her screams become sullen for no one hears her'
