Her Eyes
I faced so much hate/
I used to be a Playboy/
I don't understand the hate/
Or the abandonment/
I walk the earth lonely/
With feet of fire/
Then, I met a lady/
I thought she was/
Just another hater/
Then, that day... With love/
She looked into my eyes/
I forgot all the pain of the past/
Her eyes healed me for that moment/
I felt that love again in a dark world/
Then her face went blank/
Maybe she tricked me/
Maybe she don't/
Want anyone to know/
I thank her for letting me look/
Into her eyes/
I have forgotten what's that like/
It's been thirty years/
Since I've seen eyes like that/
From a soul of darkness/
I thank her/
