Her Courage
Our helpless girls in the society hide
Their harassment or abuse sometime
For fear of being ashamed,
But not that brave girl of a remote town,
She spoke out how her headteacher
Attempted to molest her sexually, but
From the evil communities she got the judgement,
The hyenas around her smelled for
The opportunity and availed it,
She was taken, doused in kerosene then
Set on fire on the school’s roof top,
That day she went to school for her exam,
Social justice! Is it destroyed?
So a new humanism has just risen,
Let her lost hope and desire be vibrant
For the unity of womanhood—
Her courage for an inspiration!
