Help Me Understand
Lord I come before you with my heart filled with pain
How I'd like to see the sunshine instead of all this rain
I really have been trying but I just don't understand
I'm so deep in this valley yet I know you hold my hand
The things that have been done to me were cruel and unjust
Yet you said you'd take my enemies and scatter them like dust
Lord you know how hard it is for me to wait on you
I know you understand my pain because you feel it too
O Lord would you help me to just be still and know
That you are God and you've prepared the way for me to go
Please make it clear to me that you've not left me alone
Even now you're lifting me to the Father on his throne
Thank you Lord for listening to these burdens that I bear
Remind me Lord no matter what I'm always in your care
