Help Me Daddy
Help me daddy
The child cried out
“I’ve lost my way
She does shout
Help me daddy
I can’t see
Where are you daddy
Please come to me
Help me daddy
I can’t hear
I know you speak
Why aren’t you near
Help me daddy
I’m sinking fast
Muddy quick sand
Is my cast
Help me daddy
My head is spinning
Oh’ this fear
Is surely winning
Help me daddy
I’m going down
I just give up
You won’t come around
Oh well, dear dad
It’s just too late
In this pain
I’ll die, my fate
O’ My beloved child
I tried to help
I heard the first time
That you did yelp
O’ My beloved child
You passed me by
Every time
That you did cry
O’ My beloved child
I died for you
To give you strength
And help you through
O’ My beloved child
I left my word
I paid the price
For all incurred
O My beloved child
I sent my best
I gave you everything
So you could rest!
My heart so aches
For you my child
For by the Enemy
You were beguiled
By the bed
Where you just died
Were all my answers
To the prayers you cried!
Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
