Hell

I hear the preachers talk about
hell like they know what it is,
but they don't really know
what hell is.

Hell is not being able to sleep
until three in morning each night
because you can't stop telling
yourself how worthless you are.

Hell is waking up everyday
wondering why you even
bother to get up at all.

Hell is waking up everyday
and seeing a ghost staring
back at you.

Hell is wanting to shove
any sharp object into your skin
just so you know you're still alive

Hell is being with the ones you
used to love and feeling so
alone that it makes you want
to cry.

Hell is the bed that offers
no comfort
Hell is the food that taste
like ash
Hell is the body that works
against you.

So go ahead preacher man
and tell me about hell.

It sounds hellish for sure. If this has been inspired from your own life I am so sorry for your pain. I find it comforting writing my life stories in a poetry style. Take care and keep writing
