Held You
Has my love
held you back
from the heavens?
Does my lingering passion
tether you to earth
to me
so you cannot
fly free
so you cannot
in Spirit just be?
Because my love
cannot die
and will not die,
And speaks so loudly
through day
through night
on earth and above,
through the todays
that be
and all the tomorrows
that shall be.
