Held Back

Yanked
From our
Classroom chills,
Kevin sat alone,
Gazing longingly at us
While sequestered behind a big stack of pills

John, most of the childhood memory poems I have read here are light and whimsical. Yours is uniquely disturbing, but truly a picture of what teachers (like myself) see in schools today. Very Good!! Carolyn
