Heavy Is the Air of September Morns
on the downcast
of cobalt
no rain can fall
from cloudless mind
i sit here
on the edge
of morn
lingering
in this chilled air
a september breath
weighs heavy
as it bends
tips of flowers
downward
their petals
stroking
the pools
of yesterday's rains
my lips tasted
those rains
as i remembered
you in passing
within fragments
of mind
that too bend
beneath september's breath
where this air is heavy
and the kisses cold
much like death
