Heavy Heart, Heavy Load

When you break a bone you will mend
When your heart is broken the mind will tend
Scar’s form in the body and also the mind
One you see and feel and want to leave behind

They will slowly fade but the memories will last
Time is precious to continue without the past
Pain to one’s heart is the same to the bone
It leaves you splintered and feeling alone.

Each step you take is precautionary and slow
After all you’ve taken quite a blow
Fallen from wounded trust and that tore apart
Leaves a heavy burden to bone and heart
