Heaven's Walls

I dance in the moonlight and see your face Reflected in the water of mine eyes Tranquil beauty with loves delicate grace A kiss remembered of our past goodbyes Memories seep through your old worn out coat Holding me tight as your arms used to be Smiling at the ways upon me you’d dote Cherished secrets we shared of you an’ me. The stars start to fade in the morning sky With regret I wish my lover “goodnight” Kissing my forehead you then softly sigh “Please mind the bed bugs my dear, those things bite” Heart full of laughter from happier times To dream with you, heaven’s walls I would climb

Beautiful with just the slightest tinge of wistfulness.

This is such a beautiful reflection of your love, Kat. The last line certainly brings your message home. In fact, it reminds me of a song. Think it's called "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For." You have a great feel for romantic poetry! Love, Carolyn
