Heaven's Stairs
Darkness and anguish, O stars divine
Radiant moon, endless night sublime
Keep watch over my heart, Lord
From life's bondage keep me in dream
Sit on my right side says the Lord above
And you will know of my purest love
The kingdom of heaven is light and peace
From me you will know things to speak of
Darkness and anguish, O stars divine
Radiant moon, endless night sublime
Keep watch over my heart, Lord
From life's bondage keep me in dream
River of stars full of my falling tears
My soul has a song to last all of my years
I will be as a child full of new promise
Past the black darkness to Heaven's stairs
