Heaven's Meadow

The leaves laugh in summer’s balm
My hazel eyes naturally begin to close
Spirit world gathers my half-awake attention
Optimism surrounds me in this almost afterlife

My hazel eyes naturally begin to close
Deer, my power animal, greets me shyly
Optimism surrounds me in this almost afterlife
I follow her into heaven’s sweet meadow

Deer, my power animal, greets me shyly
Spirit world gathers my half-awake attention
I follow her into heaven’s sweet meadow
The leaves laugh in summer’s balm

Thank you Susan. I love pantoums. They are so much fun to figure out. They keep my mind dancing and hopping.
