Heaven's Gate

When I stand at Heaven's gate, I hope I haven’t been too late, To ask forgiveness of my sin, So God will welcome me right in. On earth I had a lot of time, To live a life that was divine. I heard His Word, but I was lost, I know that Jesus paid the cost. People often spoke of Him to me, But I was blind and could not see. Oh precious Lord, believe me now, As I stand at Heaven's gate and bow. Believe me when I say, I know why Jesus went to the cruel cross to die. And now He's beyond Heaven's gate, I hope dear Lord I’m not too late.
