Heaven's Folly

I'm everything she wants- (armor not included) Come upon this very day- (from my last stand) I shine like heaven's gate- (although deluded) I watch her twist the heart - (thats in my hand) St. Peter spoke so softly- (an angel did command) A cherub shot an arrow- (just for me) I looked upon the wound- (the blood in my left hand) And knew at once my love - (could never be) I saw her slip a cry- (then swallowing her ire) The ballet slippers- ( brush upon the cloud) The moon shall turn its face- (from my desire) The shadow is my loss- (and only shroud)
